Opening for the Season on May 3rd

It’s official. I’ll be opening for summer 2025 on Saturday, May 3rd.

The truck mostly survived the winter! Just a couple of minor problems with plumbing fittings that split due to freezing where I wasn’t able to completely get the water out of the lines. Very pleasantly surprised. I still have a little minor maintenance to do and a thorough deep cleaning. I’ll be ready to serve you on May 3rd.

During the month of May I’ll be open on Saturdays and Sundays only from noon until 8pm, or sellout. I will be operating with a limited menu: smoked brisket and pulled pork dishes only. If things go well during May I plan to expand the menu in June and add another day or two to the schedule. I’m not going to prepare nearly as much food as I did last season until I have a good feel for how business is going each weekend. There’s just too much uncertainty about too many in the current economic climate for me to feel confident and comfortable over-preparing each week.

Thankfully pricing for the items I’m cooking hasn’t been seriously impacted (yet). This year’s prices will be close to last years unless things start to change from my suppliers.
